Irrigation Well Pump Repair & Replacement

The Pump is Humming, But No Water is Flowing: If you can hear the well pump motor running but your sprinklers aren't popping up, the well pump has likely "lost its prime" or has a severe suction leak. If left running dry, the motor will quickly burn out.
 

Sprinkler Heads Popping Up and Down: If your sprinklers surge up, spray for a few seconds, and then drop back down repeatedly, your irrigation well pump is short-cycling. This is often caused by a failing relay, a bad pressure switch, or a leak in the main line.
 

Weak Water Coverage: Are your sprinkler heads barely spraying, leaving large dry, brown patches in your yard? A failing well pump impeller or a clogged intake screen cannot generate enough pressure to reach the end of your irrigation zones.
 

Loud Grinding or Screeching Noises: A healthy centrifugal pump should run relatively smoothly. If it sounds like grinding metal or high-pitched screeching, the internal motor bearings are failing and the well pump needs to be replaced immediately.
 

Constantly Tripping the Breaker: If your water well irrigation system keeps flipping the circuit breaker in your electrical panel, there is a serious electrical short inside the well pump motor or the control box.
